Syntrofi
I'm going. Coming?
I tell my people what I am planning. Whoever wants to comes along.
A festival, a cabin, a ski trip, surfing, a concert, a road trip — it is always the same plan: I am going somewhere and it is better when I do not go alone.
Do you have an invite link? Open it. It signs you in and puts you in the event — nothing more is needed.
Sign in with GoogleIf you have been here before, you find your events together after you sign in.
How it works
- An event appears. Whoever is planning it writes what and when. That is the whole setup.
- You send out the links. Everybody gets their own. Whoever has one is invited — no accounts, no passwords, no install.
- You see each other. Who is going, who is still deciding and who gives whom a lift.
What is in it
An event has one of three shapes. The shape only sets the starting point — you can switch on every module on any of them.
Festival
- The programme and my day. You mark where you are going, and the app tells you when two of your picks clash in time.
- Who from the tribe goes where. Next to the programme you see who picked the same thing.
- My camp. You mark your tent, and at night the compass takes you back to it.
Trip
- Meeting point and who is going. In, maybe, not going — and a date to decide by.
- The route day by day. Distance, ascent, time, food and where you sleep. The route is drawn on the map.
- Packing. A link to the list of things to pack.
Celebration
- Where and when. The place, the time and navigation there in one tap.
- Who is coming. In, maybe, not going — you see who to count on.
- Programme. If the celebration has one.
And depending on the event
- Ride sharing. Who drives and how many seats are free, who needs a lift. You sort it out in the chat — the app matches nobody.
- Map and compass. The meeting point, route points, stages and people from the tribe who share their location. You can navigate to every point.
- Weather with warnings. The forecast for the place where the day ends. It warns about gusts, storms and rain ahead of time.
- Tickets. A link to the sale, Revolut or a QR code to pay.
Why Syntrofi
σύντροφοι
syntrofoi. Greek for companions — literally those raised together: syn- (together) and trepho (to nourish). Not the people who sat down at one table today. The people who grew up on the same food.
Companions are not the people you just met. They are the people you have been through something with. So you meet nobody new here — it starts where you already know somebody.
The mark says it too: one circle split by a dark curve — not two people side by side, but one thing that two people share.
What it is not
- It is not a feed. Nothing scrolls here forever. Once you know who is going, the app has done its job and you can close it. It costs us exactly the time in the app that would otherwise look good in a statistic.
- There are no stars here. People do not rate each other and we build no score that says what kind of person you are. One fact remains: you were there together.
- It is not a dating app. The starting point is the circle of people you already know.
- It is not only for festivals. A festival is one kind of plan. A cabin, a ski trip, surfing and a road trip are the same kind of plan.
- It is not an app to install. It is a link. It opens in the browser on a phone and it works.
From the blog
Where this is today: the app runs and we use it at real events. For now we create the events ourselves — self-service comes when there is somebody to serve. We are at the start and we do not promise a large community; for now these are groups of people who already know each other.
